What is involved in a garden consultation and how can it benefit me?
The garden consultation is an idea-generating and information-gathering meeting between you and Sheri Ann Richerson. It’s an opportunity for you to see your garden through ‘different eyes.’ You control the meeting by concentrating on a specific area of your property. The amount of time a garden consultation can take varies and should be pre-determined before the consultation begins.
What you can expect from a garden consultation:
* identification of and care tips for existing plants;
* determination of plants worth saving or suggested removals;
* recommendations for plants that can fill in bare spots;
* ways to revise lawn or plant bed shapes;
* ideas for dealing with drainage problems;
* discussion of ways to improve your soil.
How to prepare yourself to get the most from your garden consultation:
Make a list of favorite plants. Show Sheri Ann Richerson inspirational photographs from magazines or other gardens which will help define the mood you’d like your garden to evoke. Don’t forget to describe elements you’d like your garden to include — a water feature such as a pond or fountain, native plants, edibles, a secluded romantic retreat or a magical moonlight garden. Talk about the level of maintenance you expect to perform and the size of the budget you have in mind.
